How to Update Your GoDaddy Account to Map Your Domain
If your domain is forwarding to another website - check option 2.
If you do not see your DNS Records Table - check option 3.
Option 1 - Adding Homesnap’s IP Address
- Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center
- Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page
- Scroll down to Additional Settings and select Manage DNS
- Click the edit button in the first row in the DNS Records box
- Replace your current IP Address in the “Value” box with 52.71.133.130 and click Save
6. Add another record with the following values:
Type = CNAME
Name = www
Value = @
TTL = 600 seconds
Option 2 - Turning off Domain Forwarding
- Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center
- Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page.
- Under Additional Settings, select “Manage DNS.”
- Scroll down to the Forwarding section and select “Delete.”
- Refresh your browser (Control + R for Windows or Command + R for Mac) and click the edit button in the first row in the DNS Records box where “Parked” is displayed
- Replace the “Parked” text with our IP Address, 52.71.133.130 and click save
Option 3 - Switching to GoDaddy’s Default Nameservers
- Log in to your GoDaddy Domain Control Center
- Select your domain to access the Domain Settings page
- Under Additional Settings, select Manage DNS
- Scroll down to the Nameservers section and select “Change”
- Select “I want to use GoDaddy default nameservers (recommended)” and click save
- Refresh your browser tab (Control + R for Windows or Command + R for Mac)
- Click the edit button in the first row on the DNS Records box where “Parked” is displayed
- Replace the “Parked” text with our IP Address, 52.71.133.130 and click save
